There is one address, it is read by a person, and it is the right place for
anything at all:
Most messages get a reply within a few working days. If something is urgent,
say so in the subject line and it will be picked up sooner.
What to write about
- A correction. If something on this site is wrong, out of
date, or no longer works the way it is described, please say so — this is the
most useful email you can send, and it gets dealt with first. - A question about a guide. If a checklist or a plan does not
fit your household, describe the situation and there is a good chance the answer
becomes an update to the article itself. - Permissions. To quote, reference or translate something
here, ask. The answer is usually yes with a link back. - Press and media. Quotes, interviews and contributions —
include your deadline. - Something broken. A printable that will not download, a
page that will not load, a link that goes nowhere.
What this inbox is not for
To save everyone time, a few things get a short no:
- Guest posts. Everything here is written in-house and that
is not changing. - Paid links, link insertions and link swaps. Not accepted at
any price. Editorial links are chosen because they are useful to the reader, and
that is the only reason any of them exist. - SEO, web design and marketing services. These are deleted
unread.
Genuine product or brand collaborations are a different matter and are welcome
— but anything that runs on the site is clearly labelled as such, and nothing is
recommended that has not actually been used.
Corrections policy
Guides on Sorted & Saved are updated as things change rather than left to go
stale. When a correction changes the substance of a piece of advice, the article
is updated and the change is noted rather than quietly rewritten.
If you have spotted something, the email above is the fastest route.
Privacy
Messages sent to this address are used only to answer the message. Nothing is
added to a mailing list without you asking, and the address is not shared or
sold. Full details are in the
