Advertising
Ads are selected and placed by advertising networks such as Google AdSense, based on the page and, where you allow it, your interests. We do not choose individual advertisers, and advertisers cannot see or influence our content before or after publication. An ad for a solar company is not an endorsement. Ads are always labelled "Advertisement" and kept separate from our text, tables and calculator.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or share your contact details with installers or lenders. We do not collect them in the first place: there are no quote forms on this site.
- We do not accept payment for listings, rankings, reviews or mentions.
- We do not use affiliate links. If that ever changes, every affiliate link will be labelled and this page will say so before it happens.
Why this matters for you
Many solar websites are paid per lead by installers, which gives them a reason to push you toward a quote. We are paid when people read our pages, which gives us a reason to be accurate and useful so that you come back. Our editorial policy explains how we keep advertising and content separate.
